It is a license that can navigate up to 5 nautical miles (about 9.2 km) from the coast of flat water areas (in the bay, lakes, rivers, etc.).

The renewal procedure can be done from one year before the expiration date.

Qualification

age

First grade: 17 years and 9 months or older
Second grade: 15 years and 9 months or older (limited to less than 18 tons for those under 5 years old)
* You must have reached the above age by the day before the start date of the course.

vision

0.5 or more for both eyes (including corrected visual acuity) 
However, if one eye is corrected but less than 0.5, the horizontal visual field of the eye that can see 0.5 or more must be 150 degrees or more.

Color blindness

Being able to identify the color of the ship's lights at night.

Hearing

Being able to discriminate spoken words at a distance of 5 m or more.

    By when should I prepare the required documents?

    Please make sure that the documents arrive and pay at least 10 days before the course.

    Can I use a human dock or company health certificate instead of a physical examination certificate?

    A

    Please consult with a doctor (excluding dentists) who supports the small boat operator inspection and submit it in the prescribed format.

    What should I bring and what to wear when taking the course?

    A

    If you have already obtained a driver's license or a seaman's license, please bring it on the day.
    We will inform you about the writing tools and clothes required for the class before the class.

    How long does it take from the completion examination to the announcement of the results?

    A

    You will know the pass or fail at noon, two days after the class.

    How soon can I issue a license after the course?
