Notice of cancellation of the 18th Irozaki Race and the Trans-Sagami Yacht Race 2025
The executive committees of both events have been closely monitoring the course of Typhoon No. 9.
It seems that the course of Typhoon No. 9 is difficult to predict, and the predicted course circle was large, so there was still a possibility that the event could be held if it passed to the east of the forecast circle, so it was difficult to make the decision to cancel.
At this point, there is still a slight possibility that the races may be held, but taking into consideration the need to return the participating boats and the possibility of a typhoon occurring at Shimoda Port, we have been forced to make the decision to cancel both races.
Regarding the entry fee (although the Notice of Race states that entry fees will not be refunded once paid), we are planning to refund the amount after deducting the preparation costs and other expenses incurred up to that point. Details of the refund will be announced at a later date.
