Shonan Race

From serious racing classes to classes for just enjoying the ocean at your own pace, Shonan Race is a place that welcomes all sailors, regardless of their skill level or style. It offers a pleasant stimulus for crews looking to improve their skills and owners who just want to enjoy the sea breeze.

Co-hosted with the JSAF Miura Ocean Sailing Club, the event provides a high-quality racing environment.

The race takes place off Akiya, making it easy for boats from Sagami Bay and Tokyo Bay to participate. In even-numbered months, there are up and down courses, and in odd-numbered months, there is one long course that includes Enoshima and a buoy off the southwest coast.

After the annual race, a grand awards party is held in December, and there are many opportunities to meet new friends. This is where a rich yachting life begins, not just a competition.
