The November Shonan Race is being held as part of the "LOVE OCEAN Project," which aims to protect the beautiful and bountiful ocean and spread the appeal of the sea. Participants will be asked to pick up trash on the water before and after the race, bring their own bottles, and send out the message of "being environmentally conscious and involved with the ocean."

The Shoan Race is open to a wide range of participants, from advanced, intermediate and beginner classes. It is a yacht race that aims to win the overall championship for the year, with the upper and lower courses off the coast of Akiya in even-numbered months and the long course around Enoshima and the southwest offshore buoys in odd-numbered months.
