Communicating sustainability from “the ocean that unites the earth”
January 2022 Issue
What is Riviera SDGs Festival?
Riviera, which has a corporate philosophy of ``Living a fulfilling life in harmony with nature,'' launched the ``Riviera Future Creation Project'' in 2006 and continues to carry out concrete activities based on the three pillars of ``Environment,'' ``Education,'' and ``Health and Medical Care.'' We are working to promote the SDGs. Now, as we countdown to 3, we have started the "Riviera SDGs Festival" in January 2030, an event in which Riviera becomes a "hub" and connects people who agree with the SDGs, hoping for a "sustainable movement." . Due to the state of emergency declared due to the coronavirus, the first and second sessions were delivered online, with people from a variety of positions taking the stage. The ``2021rd Riviera SDGs Festival in Riviera Zushi Marina'' was held as the first experience-based event with an audience.

Variety of contents
A gathering of great brands
On October 31st, Riviera Zushi Marina became a hub for promoting sustainability. We will hold an SDGs festival that can be enjoyed by a wide range of generations through a variety of content such as talks & live performances, EVs, sustainable fashion shows, Riviera SDGs Lab, beach cleans, food drives, pop-up restaurants, and kitchen cars.
We sell charity tickets that can lead to donations, with the idea that "we want people to enjoy SDGs actions and make SDGs their own by purchasing tickets." Even those who couldn't make it to the venue on the day of the event were able to participate in a charity raffle where they could win gorgeous prizes, and everyone had fun. Charity ticket proceeds will be donated to the NPO Riviera Future Creation Project, which will be used for environmental conservation and children's education.
Riviera will continue to do its best to create a sustainable movement.
Riviera SDGs Lab
A pleasant day started with a beach clean at Zaimokuza Beach starting at 9am. ``Where does marine debris come from? How much is there in the ocean?'' We listened intently as the Kanagawa Coastal Beautification Foundation talked about marine debris. In the workshop using discarded candles and flowers, unique pieces were created that were unique in the world, and it was impressive to see the participants recognizing diversity.

6 sustainable EVs from 14 manufacturers will gather at the eco-conscious Riviera Zushi Marina!

“Only new electric vehicles will be sold in 2035”
EVs lined up against the backdrop of the “sea” that unites the earth

Charger installed since 2012
Riviera focuses on the spread of EVs
At Riviera, we are committed to environmental conservation and have been focusing on reducing CO2006 emissions since 2. In particular, since 2012, Riviera Zushi Marina, which is being developed as a sustainability town, has installed chargers (currently 17) and has held numerous events aimed at promoting EVs.
At the eco-conscious Riviera Zushi Marina, six imported and domestic car companies are gathered by the pool, overlooking the ocean that unites the earth. 6 of the latest EVs were lined up across the boundaries of manufacturers. Several rare EVs were on display, making their debut in Japan, and some customers couldn't hide their excitement.
Many people said, ``This is the first time I've seen so many manufacturers and vehicles gathered together at one company's event.'' Please come by EV to Riviera Zushi Marina where there are plenty of chargers.
Contribute to SDGs by eating
at a pop-up restaurant
Make your meals sustainable
Pop-up Japanese restaurant "UMI" opens for one day only. We also served Japanese cuisine using sustainable blue seafood and recycled vegetables from Riviera, which achieves ``complete food recycling,'' as well as ``Hayama Ice Cream'' made with rice grown in Hayama's terraced rice fields. We enjoyed ``contributing to the SDGs by eating'' in an open space with an ocean view that stretches straight to the horizon.
Kitchen car that is kind to your body and the earth
Former Japan Rugby Representative Toshiro Hirose is selling a limited edition drink that makes both the mind and body happy, made using koji amazake.
The curry by NAMIMATI, a group made up mainly of university students that tackles environmental and social issues, was also popular.
Food drive
Supports the movement to share through food and eliminate food waste. Food brought by each participant's household was delivered to those in need through the Zushi City Social Welfare Council.
Charity raffle with great prizes
We have a one-week test drive monitor for BMW, original goods from Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and TESLA, the new autumn/winter collection from IZA, charter cruising from Riviera, and more. Thank you for enlivening the event by providing prizes.

Promote sustainability
A talk and live performance was held at the special venue ``Seascape'' at the Riviera Zushi Marina, which is surrounded by the sea on three sides and is appropriate for the message ``Sending sustainability from the sea that unites the earth.''
We welcomed Toshiro Hirose, Ririko Kasuya, Gohei Nishikawa, and the Ambassador of Finland, and we asked them what they could do and what they were thinking in their respective positions, and the participants nodded loudly, sometimes laughing, sometimes crying, and feeling fulfilled. It was time to do it.
In addition, Audi, BMW, and Nissan responded to Riviera's long-awaited call to ``disseminate sustainability beyond the boundaries of manufacturers,'' and a dream panel discussion became a reality. Many people were surprised and moved to see companies that are also compedators lined up side by side, and we are proud that we were able to fulfill the role of a ``hub'' that is unique to Riviera. It was an opportunity to unite our hearts.

Let's love good things and things we like for a long time
Fashion, which is said to have a high environmental impact, is essential for a spiritually fulfilling lifestyle. Because the venue is right in front of the ocean, it was meaningful to hold a sustainable fashion show at this location.
One of Riviera's philosophies, ``Carefully refine good old things and pass them on to the next generation,'' and IZA representative Taki Tanaka's idea of ``loving good things for a long time'' have an affinity. This is why I chose this as the message for this collaboration.
Model Ai Tominaga and actors Hiroyuki Watanabe and Hideko Hara appeared as special guests. The theme of the talk was "Fashion and Sustainability". In addition to new releases from luxury brands such as Nina Ricci, N21, and Patou, IZA's "friends" including IMALU walked the runway with long-loved items.
