December 2019 Issue
At Riviera Seabornia Marina, we held the annual "Hagi Master 2019" on November 17th Sun.
It is a competition to compete for the total length of four filefish, called ``the strongest small fishing tournament in the history of boat fishing.'' On the day of the event, 4 teams including boats and yachts enjoyed fishing for filefish while experiencing the wonders of nature in Sagami Bay, with a view of Mt. Fuji and sunny skies such as ``There's never been a calmer day like this!'' The winning team achieved a good result with a total of 90 fish measuring 4 cm. The largest catch that won the Big Game Award was an astonishing 122.6 cm in length. This tournament, which is held every year, is a popular tournament where all participating teams win prizes, including locally sourced Miura vegetables. Thank you to everyone who participated.
*In order to preserve marine resources, a portion of the competition participation fee was donated to the Kanagawa Prefecture Cultivation and Fisheries Association.
*The next event will be May 2020 Sun, 17. “Kiss Master 2020” (scheduled).
