Spanish “sailing” competition team

1. Welcome party hosted by Riviera

“Prelude” to the local Olympics
In response to the request of the partner country's government

In order to contribute to the excitement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the development of sailing competitions, Riviera Zushi Marina will host a pre-campus training camp for the Kingdom of Spain national team participating in the Enoshima Sailing World Cup Series (September 2018th-9th, 16). I accepted. The period is August 20th to September 25th.
The team has been looking for a campsite in Shonan since the beginning of the year, and requested cooperation from Zushi City and Riviera Resort Co., Ltd. through the country's government agencies. With the willing consent of Zushi Marina Owners' Washington Association, we decided to accept them in June.

Support beyond borders
Interacting with children

On September 7th, a welcome party was held hosted by Riviera with the presence of Vice Governor Asaba of Kanagawa Prefecture, Mayor Hirai of Zushi City, and others. On the 18th, an agreement signing ceremony was held between Mayor Hirai, President of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation Julia Casanueva, and President of Riviera Resort Kobayashi, and on the 19th, an exchange event between local elementary school students and the Spanish crew was held. I did.
During this camp, Riviera provides full support to the team, including not only the use of marina facilities, but also accommodation and athlete meals. We received comments from a total of 36 team members, saying, ``The training provided us with an environment where we could concentrate on practicing.''
With Hayama Town and Hayama Port hosting the British team, the area around Sagami Bay is becoming more international and vibrant than central Tokyo. Please spread this momentum throughout the country.
