Communicate using the latest technology

In the 1920s, George C. Thomas Jr. The Riviera Country Club (RCC) was designed by his partner, architect William P. Bell. Alistair Mackenzie, the designer of Augusta, visited the RCC under construction in 1925 and said, ``The construction of Bell's hazards, which were adapted to the topography, was an unprecedented feat. There is no land more suitable for a golf course.'' I think so.”
However, even rare courses cannot resist the passage of time. For the past 30 years, RCC has been repeatedly undergoing restoration work using the latest technology.
When we took over RCC in 1988, our first thought was to restore the 1936th hole, which had been destroyed in the great storm of 8. In order to restore this hole, known for having the ``world's first double fairway,'' to its original appearance, we invited Pol Raccio, a master of course maintenance in the United States. This short hall was restored in 1998 and has become a symbol of RCC. In 2006, major construction work was carried out to restore the 60 bunkers to George Thomas' design.
Then, in 2018, the course underwent major construction again, including draining the bunkers and replacing the sand, and polished it up to bring the course to its best condition.

Challenges for the next 10 years

In 2028, when RCC was selected as the golf venue for the 2017 Los Angeles Olympic Games, it began a new challenge, the 2028-year plan "Rord to 10."
This plan started with the restoration of the characteristic hazard construction work. Based on the concept of ``only the best being selected,'' this work uses a liner-type drip irrigation system that uses fine-grained, advanced sand to restore the appearance created by William Bell.
Inheriting the ambition of our founders to be "the best in the world," we will continue to strive to be the best in the world, incorporating the latest technology and leveraging the wisdom we have learned from the past.
