About Japan Marine Academy
In Europe and the United States, yachting and sailing are incorporated into education and are widely enjoyed by people. However, in Japan, despite being an island nation surrounded by the sea, people have become increasingly detached from the sea over the past few decades, and the spread of marine sports has also lagged significantly behind. This current situation is a cause for concern from the perspective of well-being.
Our marine programs, aimed at young people and active seniors, teach the majesty of the ocean, including its wonders and threats, and provide leadership education that fosters environmental awareness and a global perspective for a sustainable society, as well as training future leaders for marine education.
The experience of sailing an environmentally friendly vessel is widely supported as a valuable learning opportunity that cannot be obtained through school education.
Through lessons at sea, we hope to encourage students to become interested in the ocean, preserve Japan's beautiful seas, and pass them on to future generations.
By learning how to play safely in the ocean and experiencing sailing and kayaking, children will develop a sense of solidarity and cooperation with their peers.
The school aims to train future instructors who will take on the role of marine education by teaching sailing techniques, obtaining a boat license, and boat handling techniques and safety knowledge.
