Honami Shigeta / Aquatic life painter
Born in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture
While creating his pen drawings, he felt uncomfortable with the waste he was producing, so he turned his attention to Japanese painting materials such as rocks, earth, and shells, and turned to his current mixed media works.
In recent years, he has been creating the "Oceanic Resonance" series, with the theme of "loving one's imperfect self."
He collaborates with musicians on performance art projects such as live painting, and is also passionate about upcycling art, breathing new life into unwanted buoys by applying art to them.
