Riviera Seabornia Marina
Sustainability activities

The Riviera Group began environmental conservation activities in 2001 when it began its marina business. These activities were compiled and the "Riviera Future Project" was launched in 2006, with all employees focusing on sustainability. At Riviera Zushi Marina, the company is working to develop the town as a "Sustainable Town: Riviera Zushi Marina," and is promoting the SDGs through a variety of activities, including the use of renewable energy and recycling-based farming methods that achieve zero waste and significant CO₂ reductions.
The second marina in Asia to receive Blue Flag certification, following Riviera Zushi Marina
Riviera Seabornia Marina has been awarded the BLUE FLAG, the world's oldest environmental certification and an international certification for sustainable seaside. This makes it the second marina in Japan and Asia to receive this award, following Riviera Zushi Marina. As a world-class sustainable marina recognized by the BLUE FLAG, we will further focus on contributing to environmental conservation, environmental education, and sustainable urban development.
Development research of precocious Ecklonia japonicus

Following on from Riviera Zushi Marina, we have installed early-ripening Ecklonia cava in the marina. We are cultivating it as part of experimental research and are proposing a "Blue Carbon Belt®" that will connect the regeneration of seaweed beds in a belt-like fashion.
Koajiro Forest Conservation Activities

Koajiro Forest is a continuous ecosystem that includes forests, wetlands, tidal flats, and even the sea, and is home to a diverse range of rare species, including the red-clawed crab. In cooperation with Kanagawa Prefecture, public interest foundations, and NPOs, we are working to preserve this rich natural environment, one of the best in the Kanto region, as well as its flora and fauna.
Marine education and development for youth development

The Japan Marine Academy was established as a general incorporated association with the aim of nurturing young people, raising awareness of marine environmental protection, and popularizing marine sports. We also provide free marine experience programs to youth groups, and provide guidance to groups such as elementary and junior high schools in landlocked areas.

Aiming to promote marine tourism
Program for adults

We also offer programs for adults to develop instructors and promote lifelong sports, and promote the spread of the ocean.
Water rescue activities

With safety at sea as a top priority, the group quickly patrols and carries out rescue missions, helping to save lives and raising awareness of maritime safety. They have performed over 600 rescue missions (over the 2010 years since 13).
Promotion of local production for local consumption

Each Riviera restaurant proactively purchases and offers ingredients that can only be found in the land and season. Delivering fresh, delicious ingredients with highly safe ingredients that show the producer's face.
Succession of tradition and regional promotion

The Miura Dosun Festival is held every year. By supporting the operation of traditional events such as Kasakake, one of Japan's three oldest forms of archery and horseback riding, we contribute to regional development and the passing on of traditions.
Cleaning local public toilets

To ensure that local public toilets (Miura City, Kanagawa Prefecture) can be used comfortably, we provide free services such as replacing toilets and windows, painting, and high-pressure cleaning. Since 2015, staff have been taking turns cleaning twice a week.
