Enoshima Yacht Harbor, located on Enoshima, an island that juts out northeast from the Shonan coast into Sagami Bay and connects to the mainland, was built as the yachting venue for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Since then, various yacht races have been held here, contributing to the spread of yachting as a pioneer of public yacht harbors in Japan. Furthermore, memorable races were held here as the sailing venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
